WavePhore Networks to Provide More Than 10,000 Satellite Receivers Over Two Years
SALT LAKE CITY, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- WavePhore Networks, a business unit of WavePhore, Inc., (Nasdaq: WAVO) announced today that it has signed a two-year, multi-million dollar agreement with AEI Music Network Inc., of Seattle, to provide more than 10,000 satellite receivers for AEI and its affiliates throughout the world.
"AEI is a very important customer for WavePhore and has been buying receivers from us for more than eight years," said David E. Deeds, Chairman, President and CEO of WavePhore, Inc. "We view this agreement as an additional vote of confidence for our equipment and services."
The receivers will provide a variety of music and in-house advertising in retail, restaurant, and lodging facilities throughout the world on a continuous 24-hour-per-day, 365 days-per-year basis. AEI, which has 130,000 businesses using its service, has purchased more than 30,000 receivers from WavePhore Networks since 1990.
