I would say that if they are expert enough at panning and have a keen geological eye they might find something out of hope. I did this kind of work and got a feel for discerning the probability of economics from looking in the pan. No placer area has no gold in the pan at surface no matter where the final pay is buried. But final economics are told in the augur or chuck drill hole and careful examination after sufficient work. It is too bad they are not assuredly sending people who might make the difference in this regard. EC<:-}
