This morning (approx. 8:15 EDT) Bloomberg TV did report that 'people close to the situation' (whatever that means - I believe I am
quoting directly) stated that Ascend & Stratus were in talks.
It was stated in their text screen and the 2 anchors mentioned it
as a story showing both companies' graphs. The text box also said
something could happen next week.

Hope it's just nonsense.

Mark, I sold my 500 ASND @ 49 15/16 this morning. This Stratus
rumor is really starting to heat up. I'll play it safe on the
sidelines for now.
