Now why would they do that. Who else is getting the orders, or is T just changing direction???

Ciena's had some problems. That's why I (regrettably) sold them at $46 (not too regrettably, as I did earn 100% on them, and then subsequently put the money into LU, which earned me another 100%). I like TLAB, and had planned to wait until October to see what the merger did to TLAB's earnings. I'm glad I did. I think I'm going to just watch this one for a while.

The kindest spin I've heard on Ciena's problems is that their products are so good that companies find they need less of them than they thought. Other than that, I don't know what their problem could be. Competition? From who? LU's months away from a competing product. Pirelli? What is AT&T citing as the reason for the cancellation? I know they had talked about waiting for LU's product.

Maybe this will give CSCO a chance to buy TLAB. ;-)
