What is someone on the MSFT thread doing w/ a mac anyways :)

Helping to preserve competition? We wouldn't want to be considered a monopoly now, would we?

I thought that this was an investment thread. MSFT is a superior investment not a superior GUI for personal computer use. That is often the mistake many of us make when investing. We invest with our heart and not with our mind. Peter Lynch notwithstanding there are many examples of technically superior products that have fallen by the wayside because the other technology outmarketed them. Beta Max comes to mind. I am sure if we took the time we could gin up many others. It would appear that in Windows 98 that MSFT has just about caught up with the Mac and in many areas surpassed it. But while I have been enjoying a Mac for lo these 20 years I have been watching my MSFT grow like Jack's beanstalk. Te best of both worlds I guess.
