I have started a thread on this company. I'm particularly impressed by the involvement of a Nobel Prize winner. It's a fascinating topic:

Commodore Comments on Chemical Weapons
Program

NEW YORK, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul E. Hannesson, chairman and CEO of
Commodore Applied Technologies, Inc. (Amex: CXI - news, CXIW - news), made the
following statement in connection with the Army's July 30, 1998, announcement of its
initial selection of companies (which did not include Teledyne-Commodore, LLC) to
proceed to the demonstration phase of its Assembled Chemical Weapons Assessment
(ACWA) program:

''We are astonished that the Teledyne-Commodore, LLC, was not selected for the initial
round of demonstration testing in the ACWA program. In fact, the company was recently
assured that its technology had met or exceeded every criterion set forth in the ACWA
process. We remain absolutely confident of the effectiveness and economy of our
technology.

''It is widely known that the Army ran short of funds in the ACWA program. In view of
ACWA's statement that additional task orders for the demonstration phase may be awarded
if further funding can be found, Commodore will continue to pursue opportunities to
demonstrate the superiority of its technology.''

These materials contain forward-looking statements based on a series of projections and
estimates regarding economics within our markets, the industries in which we operate, the
effects of legislation and regulations, as well as business and competitive outlook.
