It is interesting that Engineering Animation does not feel it is a competitor of Tecnomatix. Perhaps those comments were in reference to ROBCAD. From a Tecnomatix press release... "SIMPLE++ is designed for planning, simulating and optimizing factories. Featuring object-oriented technology, it provides an on-screen view of an entire factory and is designed to enable engineers to design complete plants, simulate their operations and identify potential bottlenecks. It is also designed to plan material flows, work-in-process inventories and sequence of operations." From an EAII release... "Significant new functionality was added to FactoryCAD, FactoryPLAN, and FactoryFLOW to enable users to save time, cut costs and explore design options in the creation of factory layouts and material flow studies." Although I have never used either company's software, the descriptions sure seem very similar. Can anyone explain the differences between the software?
