Your explanation was just fine...

You are expecting GM's attempt to catch up on lost production to be reflected in the next two qtrs and benefit GDP...

The question is will GM still have the same market share... Auto buyers are not as loyal as they used to be... GM still has to re-think its product line... Too many models creates production inefficiencies... The unions were correct in stating that GM Mgmt made many decisions that has put the company in a hole... While Ford and Chrysler have learned to get more productivity out of their UAW workers, GM is struggling...

I feel very strongly that unless the FED reduces interest rates, U.S. businesses will be hard pressed to make the kind of investments in productivity improvement that are necessary... A consequence would be falling GDP, and a possible recession...
