Glen, doesn't MB phase into batches of puts since often deteriorating fundamentals take a long time to be reflected in stock prices in a rampant bullmarket? And readers who have followed MB in the past cannot afford to have wrongly timed batches of puts lose their value or expire worthless. MB does make a convincing case for his puts.
