How can these idiots expect .32 (almost 1/2 of this quarter) in the quarter ending 9/98?

They may not be as dumb as we look. Utilization rates for HMAR are down from 80% in Q2 to 60% today!

Check the HMAR thread for the conf call notes if you like. HMAR made .55 in the qtr and essentially said to expect .62 for the balance of the year. HMAR has less percentage exposure to GOM than TMAR.

PS - They also mentioned that gas exploration and production is down and that gas storage is 25% ahead of last year.

Your statement contains the answer...these 'idiots'. Wall Street does what it want. It takes things to extremes. When it doesnt like you it doesnt do it smoothly or with any linearity...they kill you. RIght now, anything relating to oil is taking it on the chin. From a value standpoint, if TMAR can continue to perform in a bad pricing environment, then they should be able to do even better when and if oil recovers. IN a market absolutely overwhelmed with overvalued companies difficult to purchase, TMAR is very attractive. I have been buying it for a few months and will continue to do so.
