michael ashby, cfo, was hired at asnd on oct 31, 1997.

closing price of asnd 10/31/97 - 27

closing price of asnd 12/2/97 - 23.75

closing price of asnd 1/12/98 - 26.938

it took a few months, good earnings, and street guidance before asnd rose.
