I spoke to a lot of knowing people this week and Portico was often involved in my questioning. Speaking to Nuance, they said we are not allowed to comment on Portico.

So, I said, "Well you can coment on this? Is Portico using L&H.. No. Are they using Dragon...No. " I didn't do anything so boring as to run the whole list, but it seemed evident to me that they shouldn't have trouble telling me they did not support Portico if that was true.

I can not tell you why General Magic doesn't say who they work with. It seems to me that they want to keep SR as a plug in and be able to upgrade when it is possible.

Nuance is an exciting company. I doubt GM has the cash to buy them. They are partnering with Intel and Motorola.

I signed up with Freedom Call today. The agent was having a good day.

SierraPuma, several months ago there was a job fair here in the Bay Area, I stopped by the Nuance booth and talk to an engineer. He said to me that General Magic use their product.
