HEY Techguy:

<<<I love this - For doubters of the technology a DEMO in some hotel or office building. IMHO Key Word "Demo". I would love for them to actually demonstrate the internet access service on a real live cable system instead of cobbling together something that "looks like what our service would look like if we actually had a cable company to carry us". If you wanted to see internet access "for real" in someones house you couldn't. You know why? It is not available in any homes. Ask them how many real subs they ahve tested the internet access with. I bet the answer is "0".>>>

You bet the answer is "0"? Do you know? Have you asked them? You want real subs!! You'll see them in a couple of months when the service is launched on Insight Cable. You saw the announcement, didn't you? Oh, that's right, that was only a board member. Funny, did you know that Michael Willner, Insights pres. and CEO is on the board of the National Cable Television Association [NCTA]?, that he has been in this business for over 25 years?, that he is one of the most respected men in his industry?, that he has extremely close relationships with TCI?, that he only joined the board on April 28th of this year?

MICHAEL WILLNER TO JOIN SOURCE MEDIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
PRESS RELEASE

DALLAS, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael S. Willner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Insight Communications, has joined the Board of Directors of Source Media Inc. (Nasdaq: SRCM - news). Insight owns and operates nine cable television systems located in seven states in the U.S.

''We are extremely pleased to have Mr. Willner join the team at Source Media'' said Tim Peters, Chairman and CEO of the Company. ''He brings an extensive cable television operator's background to the Board during the launch of the digital era, a period of exciting change in the industry.''

Prior to founding Insight, Mr. Willner served as Chief Operating Officer of Vision Cable Communications, a division of the Newhouse Communications Division. Later he co-founded Insight Communications Company, UK, the predecessor company of NTL Incorporated [Nasdaq:NTLI - news] where he serves on the Board of Directors. NTL is the third largest operator of cable TV systems in the United Kingdom. Mr. Willner serves as a member of the National Cable TV Association Board of Directors, chairing the NCTA's State and Local Government Committee, and, in addition, serves as a member of the C-SPAN Board of Directors.

David Kuykendall, Chief Financial Officer of Freedom Communications, Inc., has resigned from the Company's Board to make room for Mr. Willner. Mr. Kuykendall has served on the Source Media Board for five years following Freedom's early private investment in Source. ''David has been an invaluable asset to us as we brought Source Media through several rounds of public equity and capital fundings'' said Mr. Peters. Mr. Kuykendall added, ''It has been a pleasure to participate in the growth of Source. It's important, as the Company launches its new products, to attract additional industry-specific operating experience like Mr. Willner's to the Board.''

Now maybe, just maybe, as hard as it might be to imagine, Mr. Willner had SEEN THE SERVICE WORK, WAS VERY INTERESTED IN THE CO., AND WAS THEN ASKED TO JOIN THE BOARD TO GET MORE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCING INVOLVED. Does anyone want to cast aspersions on his character as they have done with the rest of the mgmt. team? Does anyone know of the lengths that were taken to insure the evaluation of SRCM's technology was done above reproach? Does anyone know that Mr. Willner left the evaluation process and decision making to others so as to avoid any appearence of impropriety? I thought not!!!

Regards;
MW
