COMS and PETM announce merger. Petsmart(PETM) the nations largest retailer of pet supplies and dog food will be merging with 3Com, its best customer, in a deal that will be mutually beneficial sez Eric B, 3Coms CEO. "by combining petm's dog food plant and coms's head offices under one roof(arf), substantial savings through cost reduction will be realized" As well, it was announced today that Eric B will be consulting with SNL's goat-boy to initiate new areas of diworsification that might retard the recent bleating at the two companies.
