There may be some window dressing effect going on as fund managers try to dress up their portfolios with some of the "darling stocks". Despite an increase in volume and the strong surge in the market, AMZN moved up to recover only 1/2 of yesterday's loss. The downtrend remains solidly in tact. I'm hoping for a bit of a continuation of the rally tomorrow morning and then a renewed sell-off by the afternoon.

BGP ... another TMF selection

Great post on the Fool Portfolio's "foolishness"

Another Motley Fool selection looks somewhat promising to me. In their "Boring Portfolio" ("Great Companies without the Hype") they have had Borders Group in their portfolio for a while now. With the Market's recent downturn, this stock is trading near it's low for 1998. In the meantime, they seem to be expanding their website rather quickly.

The company states that they plan on making their website "official" in the "late summer." (anybody know when?) Their site is already quite impressive: 10,000,000 items! (AMZN has 3,000,000), Books, music, AND VIDEO! In putting it through a test (I searched for some of my eclectic favorites), they had a very impressive selection - more variety than AMZN!

You can check out their site at borders.com

Big question -- Will this translate into $$$ ??

Thoughts? I've been stocking up on BGP when it dips. Time will tell if I lose my shirt.

Happy Hunting!
