It is my understanding they were after oil/gas, NOT coal.

Lonnie

1. MTEI also has gas and oil,
and is looking into electricity.

2. What do you know about coalbed methane?

3. I spoke to Stagg engineering, she said that WV coal
can sell for anywhere between $10 and $70 a ton,
depending on it's quality, so she was lying to me?

Stick around gal, you could be an asset to this thread,
maybe like a Bob Ulrich type, which, may I say,
I miss Bob's input here.

Regards

Lonnie,

The only reason coal valuation is being discussed is because of the May 28th PR. MTEI are O&G people. They will go after any economically viable resource including coal if it makes sense. Will definitely go after coal bed methane. But the PR values the coal in a very specific way (not in the same manner coal companies value coal) but the PR is very clear about where they came up with their figures.

Eric

Welcome to MTEI Lonnie A.
or
MTEI : SI's Rudest Thread

Glad to have you posting here Lonnie A.
You may have noticed some of the questions being bandied about.
It is always good to have people who may give valid input into the questions at hand. I see you are gaining valuable insight already into the thread moniker.

The Correct Mindset to be on MTEI

I am sure that you have noticed MTEI's much valued reserves quickly shift to whatever petroleum product required. As an experienced Coal man you are probably aware of the fact that large beds of coal, regularly turn into oil producing fields.

This phenomenon is limited in veracity but very handy.
Jack knows all about. So remember, what we have here is Mountains of Energy, it is worth whatever Jack says it is worth. The USGS has given MTEI a reserve calculation and feasibility study. It will be extracted by efficient methods that are much better than any other company. These methods apply to methane/coal/oil/gas and other petroleum distillates like vaseline.
The rude and uncultured SEC are trying to get some shares cheap. This is actually good for the company and the share price falling is even better. In 12 or 13 days, everything will be fine.

Never professed to. The info came from the press release. The header was just a collection of info from the company and posters.

You have an interesting way of putting the cart before the horse.
