Hello Madeleine:

I apologize for the confusion about ELST, BNTI and IVDO. I guess since I did not officially subscribe to MCRR and simply followed many of the threads which mentioned it, I assumed that these stocks (and probably some others) were official recommendations.

I am sorry to hear the MCRR was dissolved -- truly a shame since the discussions always seemed to be concrete and informative (unlike many on SI), the companies very solid and very lucrative investments in the long-term.

With regard to SI, the only reason I haven't signed up is because I use it only sporadically and have often been VERY turned off by the "hype" (or as Linda Tripp would call it -- "paid prevarication"!) and daytrading which seem to prevail in the Under-$5 category.

Thanks for the positive vibes on SVSY. I am optimistic, but time will tell.

Happy trading and best wishes to the all the refugees!

P.S. Has an official camp been set up in Auburn Hills, or is it only a "virtual" refugee camp?!

Microsoft Corp. Accepts Alpha Bytes, Inc. As Certified Solution Provider Partner
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Alpha Bytes, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ABYT - news), a premium provider of vision care software and on- line solutions for a variety of other industries, announced today that it has been accepted by Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT - news) as a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider Partner. The Company found that as it developed advanced applications, particularly in the on-line transaction-processing segment, it needed a closer relationship with Microsoft.

Alpha Bytes began the process of complying with Microsoft's rigid quality standards and requirements in late May of 1998 and was accepted in July. The Company has subsequently been adding Microsoft-certified professionals to its staff. Alpha Bytes and its On-line Professional Services staff have been making great strides towards developing the world's first on-line managed care and healthcare administration service, H-NET(R).

Mr. Anton Stephens, President and CEO of Alpha Bytes, said, ''We are very pleased to have met the rigorous standards of Microsoft. We are quickly being recognized as a pioneer in the area of on-line transaction processing for the healthcare and insurance industries, and I think this relationship proves that. With the completion of our H-NET(R) system, with its high speed, Internet backbone and huge database, we expect to easily handle the increased number of transactions that we will begin processing in October 1998.''

Alpha Bytes, Inc. is a leading provider of specialized software for the vision care market with an installed base of over 5750 sites, including such chains as Wal-Mart's Sam's Stores, LensCrafters, Cole Vision, Pearle Vision, ECCA and many independent optical centers. The Company's H-NET(R) system provides for continuous usage and recurring revenues that arise from the significant reduction of labor-intensive drafting and processing of paper forms. Simultaneously, the Company is designing a modified version of the H-NET(R) product for one of the world's largest financial services firms that will enable Internet access and transaction-based functionality.

''Safe Harbor'' statement under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995: Statements in this press release regarding the expansion of the Company's operations are forward-looking statements. Words such as ''expects,'' ''intends,'' ''believes,'' ''anticipates,'' and ''likely'' also identify forward- looking statements. Actual results may differ from such forward-looking statements as a result of a number of factors, including but not limited to, continued acceptance of the Company's products, increased levels of competition for the Company, new products and technological changes, the Company's dependence upon third-party suppliers, intellectual property rights and other risks detailed in periodic reports filed by the Company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
