Thanks. I am just posting some stuff that I am reading on the internet.

I try to think in terms of scenarios (good / medium / worst scenario); under the motto 'hope for the best; prepare for the worst'.

I started the thread 'SI : Y2k Denial' recently.
exchange2000.com
E.g. Jenna (whom I highly admire as one of the best stocks pickers on SI) does not recognise possible major Y2k impact on the stock market.

By provoking / posting on other threads now and then, I try to get a feeling of current feelings/thinking of the 'avarage' investor (SI members) towards Y2k, and trends in this thinking.

This is a very crude way to get a feeling of investor's attitude towards Y2k.

In the coming months we will see a trend towards much more concern among investors.
I am more and more inclined to think that the market crash that will end this bull market will be Y2k-fear-induced; and not by further crises in SEA, Russia, elsewhere; or inflation fears.

I hope to use this as a way to time my exit of the stock market (apart from hedging thru gold stocks; buying puts on indexes etc).

Regards,

John
