It still is not fast enough... over time I see these optimized JVM compilers will make JAVA programs run more than 15 times the current speed. There has been some talk of putting a JVM compiler on a separate chip to do pre-processing. This type of JAVA applet compiling would be an excellent feature a background Netware server could perform. Now wouldn't that make MS worry about their monopoly at the desk top.

My point is that this whole JAVA, JINI & networking protocal is changing super fast. I believe they call it Internet time. I just hope Novell is on the leading edge....with CEO Schmidt and BOD Bill Joy I believe they are.
