Premier:

Thanks for your message.

I'll be the first to say that I blew this one. My broker showed me the II article some time ago, back when this was mid 20's pre-split. Sounded more like a mutual fund than a VC-type operation, so I passed and have watched from the sidelines. That happens!!

I believe that this stock (hell, this whole market) is seriously overvalued, which prevents me from taking any position in CMGI. But that's not to say it can't go higher, either -- and I have few doubts it will. The problem is, the downside risk is too great for my taste. I'm sticking with stocks I can valuate on something a little more firmer than a Geocities IPO (free web sites that only your cousin goes to visit just doesn't seem like a million-eyeball revenue stream to me...)

Yes, they've got lots more in the can, I know, but I believe CMGI is the very first thing to hit the fan if rates go up or any correction appears...

Like I've said, I like CMGI. I just don't like the mindless -- wildly incorrect -- hype from others who are consistently wrong and posing like big-time traders -- I don't care WHAT the stock is... You're absolutely right, everyone (including me, as I note at the top of this e-mail) can be wrong from time to time. But.. how about just being RIGHT from time to time!

Take it easy,
Scarecrow
