I think I need to be more specific date wise. May 15th. I tried picking a bottom at $30 on that day. The similarity is in the slope of the 3 and 12 day moving averages that I follow. Proportionally those periods are very similar. I was looking for a bottom at $30 like I'm looking for a bottom at $25. The difference is I'm selling COMS tomorrow at a profit or loss and not holding on. I'll be in LA all next week unable to trade. I might put in some buy stop orders ahead of next week and see what happens.

<<Add up all the volume for the last 2-3 weeks and I don't think
it represents a true flight of $$ from big institutions >>

Month Hi Lo Vo
Jul-98 31 11/16 24 5/8 143,908,000
Jun-98 32 13/16 22 15/16 196,909,600
May-98 35 1/8 25 1/4 139,883,900

The volume is high for this month and the institutions are bailing
out big time according to my block trade data. Should we rename
this thread to "3Com fools" ?
