Here is a web site that shows the "short interest" in NASDAQ stocks:

viwes.com

Once you're there, enter a ticker symbol ( CMVT for example ).

The number of Comverse shares sold short increased
from May 98, June 98, and July 98.

It is said that a high short interest can be a bullish indicator,
because there are more potential shorts that will have to
"cover" their bets, possibly resulting in a "short squeeze."
