Barramundi Gold (BAM)/Normandy Mt. Leyshon Update Barramundi Gold Ltd BAM Shares issued 10,081,850 1998-08-20 close $0.2 Monday Aug 24 1998 Mr. Scott Broughton reports As announced in Stockwatch July 17, 1998, Barramundi has entered into an arm's length joint venture agreement with Normandy Mt. Leyshon Limited (NLY) for the exploration of Barramundi's 1,000 square kilometre Chillagoe/Wandoo property in North Queensland, Australia. NLY as operator of the exploration program has mobilized a geological exploration crew to the property. To date, NLY has focused on the Rookwood (Mt. Wandoo) breccia pipe prospect and the Muldiva polymetallic prospect. In addition to analysis of the work carried out previously by Barramundi on the Rookwood prospect, the following work has now been carried out by NLY on these two prospects: grid-based soil geochemistry; geological mapping; gradient array induced polarization; and interpretation of existing geophysical data. NLY has also advised that an initial drilling program on anomalies identified to date on the Muldiva polymetallic prospect commenced last week. Following this program and the finalization of the interpretation of the data collected in relation to the Rookwood prospect, NLY has advised that an initial drilling program will commence on the Rookwood prospect.
