Hi Sonny, I misunderstood but glad that you are ok now. I guess that I skimmed toofast through thread. Dell sent me a reconditioned modem after making absolutley sure that mine did not work. Then you have to send the old one back immediatly. They pay the freight. I could not believe i would ever take my c.p. apart to attatch the new modem. My laptop is a Toshiba., with a rubber eraser thing for a cursor. Wish I had gotten another Dell for a laptop. Its fine but I am used to the Dell I wish I had the brains to buy Dell when I got my first C.P. It was $43 Even so the tel stks are going wild esp. LU. I really cant supply any knowhow to tech stks except esp. yes I still have 8x8. Not selling until it looks good and who knows when that will be?Maybe silly but I can sit with it awhile Glad you are are fine and dandy. Eliz
