flickerful - there seem to be two ways of looking at this.

One is 'trading' options and the other is setting a place holder on the stock. When I looked at the 2000 leaps, my reaction to 'trading' them was that the price movement didn't appear to be enough to warrent the investment for a short time.

On the other hand, I thought why tie my money up in long shares, maybe free up the money, buy in the money calls (Mar100 were only 22 5/8 - a $10 premium), seemed reasonable from the point of view to not have to lay out the rest of the money. I could use it on something else. It's probably a safe investment..... I doubt that PFE will tank since it's a 'defensive' top of line blue-chip. Hmmmm..... I'll have to think about this, it keeps getting more appealing.
