Very interesting new slant on Mpact from a news item which originated from the Dow Jones service today.

The overall context of the item is that late this week, it was reported that BCE is allegedly seeking an alliance with Worldcom and MCI. The item goes on to discuss various possibilities but what is particularly interesting from an Mpact perspective are the closing paragraphs which are as follows:

"At the same time, an alliance between Bell Canada and the merged WorldCom and MCI could prove promising because of Bell Canada's Bell Emergis unit, which Bell Canada created last year to develop new complementary technologies in areas including the Internet, electronic commerce and multimedia.

Through an alliance with Bell Canada, WorldCom and MCI could get access to Bell Emergis' new technologies, while Bell Canada could get "influence and a voice in the overall alliance in product development and not just reciprocal network usage," Mr. Bruneau said."

This would seem to confirm what I've felt all along - the Mpact/Emergis' E-commerce technology is world class and is now beginning to be recognized as such!
