Bob,

Glad you are posting. Yes CBM is often produced 1-2 years ahead of mining. This technique (i.e., vertical wells) produces the most pure methane and can usually be compressed and put directly in to the pipeline. Other methods of extraction are actually in-mine methods (horizontal boreholes - and other) produce a less pure methane that has a smaller appeal. This may be the CBM Lonnie is used to dealing with. MTEI plans would have been more analogous to the former method (with or without eventual coal production).
