jbershad,
I am not thinking the way that you are at all...This post from yahoo is more the way I am thinking.

I think the chances are better than 50-50 that you missed your chance to cover at the low. That said, anything
can happen in the next 3-4 months.

btw, I know these guys, too, and there's no chance the inside buys on the offering were an attempt to prop up
the price. These guys (and institutions) are betting their own money because they believe in the project.

Once again, I appreciate a well-reasoned contrary view, so am glad you're posting. However, back to the
odds, I'd guess there's a better than 50-50 chance this fall's PIII results will be good, hence there's more upside
to the stock than downside.

I see Murphy still has quite an influence on people. Amazing.

Firstly, AMLN's direct placement was done because they were in desperate need of cash. This was not an investment by a future partner as Murphy speculated.

Secondly, there is *no reason* to believe a new partnership or buyout is imminent (again, contrary to Murphy's comments). AMLN's Phase III data to date has been marginal at best. No potential partner would risk capital without seeing additional data.

Clearly AMLN's future rides on the upcoming Euro results. It's not a pretty picture and shouldn't be spun otherwise.
