All,

I chatted today with Lorne, the SV-35 product manager at Napier. I was interested in removing some paint from brick, so I asked him how effective it is. He told me that a red-brick house in downtown Red Deer, Alberta, had just been stripped. The building is of historic importance, and they did not want to sand-blast it. Apparently the first application removed about 95% of the paint, and small touch-up applications removed the remainder. Sounds like it'll do the trick for me! Is anyone from Red Deer? Can you verify this?

Lorne will be sending me a sample to test on my brick. If anyone in the Guelph, Ontario, area would like to see it work, send me an email at my work address (neil_irwin@manulife.com). If it is successful, I'll have to mosey-on-down to the local Glidden store to buy more. (Glidden is the commercial name for ICI Devoe).

Neil.
