I wouldn't bet on that - don't forget - KATMAI has been running in Intel's labs for a month or more and may surprise you when it is released later this year or early next.

A Xeon is a PII with L2 cache running at full speed is only 1-2% faster than PII

I would say that this is the best proof that ZD has twisted and optimized Business Winstone98 for PII under the influence of dirty money from Intel.

The twists on Winstone98 are so good that the cacheless PII is not too much slower than PII of the same core speed. The twists has been so well done that the full L2 cache speed Xeon is only 1-2% faster than PII that is something I won't believe at all.
