The things that will drag Dell stock are external forces affecting the entire market. Asian problems which seem there is no end to it. Look at Indonesia, Thailand, S Korea, Phillipines, Japan, and on and on. Then the Lewinsky affair. (I cannot understand that some politicians want to bring down the Presidency using whatever means).

Therefore, although I am bullish on Dell as a company where fundamentally is the best company I ever come across, I cannot ignore the environment we are in now. It is anybody's guess what the price will be come earnings time.

Good Luck to All.

Lee,
Hi!!! Great post!!! And, it is obvious you didn't have to stay after school for not doing your homework <<gg>> Dell is setting up for a great run...Dell is once again managing the stock...once we realized we weren't getting that split at the shareholders a few of us figured that Dell was #1 authorizing the shares and then #2 waiting for the earnings so they would announce the split at this time...thus, #3 not allowing the shorts to move after the earnings if it had an incredible run up...the split obviously occurring further and further into the third and more profitable qt....Windows 98, etc..
Dell, has this figured out...following it for some time one can almost predict when to see it fly and then consolidate...but, earnings drive any stock..IDC just gave us their conservative figure....hey, can we read?? What continues to amaze me are the ones who continue to get run over shorting it...playing that Power Ball with an 80,000,000 to 1 chance or the equivalent of being struck 12 times by lightning appears to be a better way to make money than getting on the tracks in front of Dell going into an earnings.

BUY DELL NOW

Best, Kemble
