Micron sees DRAM price pick-up
SAN FRANCISCO, July 30 (Reuters) - Computer memory chip maker Micron Technology Inc. has seen some recent pick-up in prices and an increase in unit volume, Vice President of Corporate Affairs Kip Bedard said on Thusday.
Bedard told a BancAmerica Robertson Stephens semiconductor conference that the company has not yet determined whether the pricing increases of the last few weeks were sustainable or were due to an inventory correction.

''There is some pick-up (in prices),'' Bedard said. Prices have been dropping steadily in the memory chip market for the past two years, and have contributed to the worldwide slump in the semiconductor industry.
