Well actually, your exception, is my point exactly. The tech world just changes too fast. There is not a single tech stock I own that I would bet the farm will still be there in five years, they require constant scrutiny. Stocks like Coca Cola or Campbell Soup you just put in the cupboard and pretty much don't worry about, you know you'll be drawing on them when you're smacking the ball around with the other old duffers.

You aptly point out that EVEN dominant tech companies like CSCO, INTC or LU are vulnerable. Some new design or technology could come along and put a SERIOUS hurt on any of them. Although I will have to admit that it seems they are all taking a chapter out of the Microsoft book. When the new whiz-bang product DOES come along, simply be the first one in line with the most money and buy it. Maybe the rich will just get richer, we'll see.
