My Birthplace is near Munich, on the old US air base at Fuerstenfeldbruck. Never been back there since birth, hoping to take my mother back soon before she is gone. She lost her father there during the war when they had to run in the middle of the night. He stayed behind with the family store and was never heard from again. We have it so easy in our lifetimes SO FAR! One Big Kahuna could change all that! I hope you enjoy your trip! Congrats on being #1 on SI!
