Basically yes. For volatile Gorillas (DELL), I prefer to sell puts at intermediate lows (6-9 months prior to expiry) to pocket the very rich premiums (this requires a higher level of credit qualifications by brokerages), whereas for steady stocks such as ATI, LEAPS calls of longer timeframe are preferred.

For INTC, I currently have LEAPS calls and commons.
