ABSTRACT

It's no secret, large companies become larger by taking over smaller companies. This thesis presents my reasons why Racom is a take over target, possibly by Verifone/Hewlett Packard. These reasons include: 1) a rapid and unexpected change in leadership at Racom by two individuals with historical ties to Verifone; 2) reported first quarter expenses for merger and acquisitions consulting fees; 3) development of a stellar multi-purpose smart card that is light years ahead of the competition; and 4) a shift in technical thrust, soon to be revealed, that more than likely will parallel solutions currently being sought by Verifone/HP, that being internet payment solutions and access. If you are interested in learning more about how I came to this conclusion, then this thesis is for you.
