"Gentlemen, I know it looks bad now, but we see an upturn in the next year or so." -- Kipp Bedard to Robbers & Stealers. Result: Stock gaps up 5% the next day on jumbo volume. "Baby, this time next year I could have my credit card bills paid off and be making another five thousand per year in salary." -- some poor shmuck to a cute chick in a bar. Result: She says, "Yah right, loser" and walks away. I know they're two different scenarios, I just can't figure out why. :-)
