The problem with Brown's lowered commissions is that is now harder to reach the volume discount limit <g>

Thanks for clearing that certificate confusion up, Linda. I'm sending for a Brown application. Brown sounds like a good compliment to Datek, with the low cost and phone access for those times when the website or my isp are down.

I have saved a lot of money on commissions with Web St. having never paid a commission on any trade I've made with them, but now that they've become hard to reach by telephone it has become impractical to trade with them. I'm needing to call them much too often these days for lack of representation or misinformation on the execution report etc. Besides, it's been hard to fill at anything better than market lately, which is opposite to my earlier experiences. I think it's US Clearing or Nash Weiss, but it really doesn't matter whose fault it is.

Well Linda, I hope your recommendation works out better than mine did for you. You should steer me to Sure Trade after your experiences at Web St., and get even. (;>)
