Stitch,re:"trivialize". Thanks, I knew I would be had with simple/no
understanding of the industry. Even manufacturing is no simple task.
Look at DELL and CPQ, they probably have the right manufacturing
process (and DELL has better model in the cost side).

I probably imply the 'number of engineers' vs 'expertise/specializaton of the engineering'. Kind of like drug company, a small amount of
PHDs doing the research with a well run lab.

Is HDD a commodity industry? I think it is and that tend to add to
the cyclical nature. The innovation and staying ahead is part of
high-tech survival must.

SEG/QTMN seem to be BIG-2, unless things that we don't know(then we
can't blame ourselve for unknown) happen, leaders always rebound
faster and better on the curve.

While the industry is in turmoil and appears to be at bottom, it's
probably a good trading environment knowing it doesn't have much
to go down (well, what do I konw about stock, I'm still working
and hopefully stay employed until kids finish college).
