If Presarios do sell better with Zip in than without, don't you think the competition would begin to recognize this trend and begin making Zip standard as well? It should not take them too long, otherwise they will begin to lose market share. This is a powerful observation in favor of Zip, unless the competition begins to use someother media that they can tout is far superior. However, I don't think Compac would have made such a commitment to Zip unless they firmly believed that any other media was either not as acceptable (Syquest, Imation etc) or was not ready for prime time (Sony).

That was me who posted that. And from what I've read in that press release you posted, nothing has changed. The sentence you boldfaced merely points out that a sealed chassis option is available in these product lines. This is merely an option.

But the standard package in these product lines includes a 1.44 floppy on every machine, and an LS-120 Superdisc option all nearly all of them. And no Zip anywhere.
