More important than the cash reserves of individual investors is the cash positions taken by the institutions (pension, mutuals, etc). Their cash reserves are bullish when cash is low and worthy of note if cash is being held. Without the cash reserves of the big players there's no money to fuel an upward trend. Is there a reason for the jump this morning? (haven't had time to research it). Dave.
