Gary, We are having some very interesting conversations this morning on Ascend! I have followed their technology for quite awhile in comparison to Cisco's. Ascend has had a good niche to itself and for the last year and a half Cisco has made a concerted effort to get into Ascend's business. The carrier class market is going through a HUDGE revolution and both companies will profit handsomely, although I expect Cisco's new products to start winning numerous big contracts shortly. Cisco is pouring a lot of money in R&D into this and the product stream is beginning to flow. Ascend has a much smaller base of products to sell and it will be interesting to see how the race unfolds. But I still put my money where IMHO the winner is......Cisco! Eric
