Most individual investors are clueless as to what makes a good investment.

Teri,

I had lunch with a HK friend yesterday and heard for the first time the term "refugee" money. By that, he was referring to the money fleeing HK during the uncertain days of China taking over the colony. Also, he is talking about Japanese money now. Refugee money is totally blind with the primary intention of preservation while escaping turmoil back home.

With the yen now breaking 144, approaching the 145 level when Rubin gambled with a couple billion of OUR money, how much refugee money will be coming? Initially, this may continue to support our bubble, especially for the big cap stocks that have international name recognition. Eventually, we all know this is the type of ponzi scheme that kills all markets. Furthermore, it is draining capital from countries which sorely need it the most.

By the way, I think your 50 million 401K accounts are too high. 50 million is 1/5 of the population. My guess would be less than half your projections.
