Thank's Phil - However I saw no mention of API support for Alpha or Ultra Sparc processors. Specifically I was interested what the solution is for linking all those high end Sunw servers running on SOLARIS OS. The best I can tell is a separate VM must be created on a Merced 64-bit server machine. It seems to me that this defeats the purpose of installing a high end Sparc server to run all applications including NetWare.

"...The Modesto design overcomes the overhead of these predecessor systems by partitioning different OS functions that are specific to certain services into separate virtual machines (VM's), where implementation can be optimized to the needs of the services implemented in that VM. All the VMs run over the common services layer
provided by the nano-kernel, leading to a much more modular and tuned system..."

I guess I would like to see Novell support naitive API's for all the major platforms with backward compatibility mode so NetWare 5 applications can run seamless on the network.
