Blue Horseshoe likes DRQ & PDE !!! ...

...you guys need to lighten up !

DRQ.........68% increase in earnings, huge, huge backlog, have just dramatically expanded manufacturing capacity, and has simultaneously taken one of THE biggest 1 month sell offs. Only 22% institutionally held at present, individual shareholders shaken out - great upside when institutions step back in. Downside limited with NO DEBT and a backlog rivaled by few ... products heavilly weighted to DEEPWATER and harsh enviroments. This has sold off disproportionately to the rest of the sector and arguablly has the best financial fundamentals as opposed to a recent % decline.

Big Dog....thanks for the perspective on PDE; however the Petrobras contracts are MERELY icing on the cake. I am buying based on present earnings and fundamentals in this down enviroment. They are performing admirably, strong insider buying and the Petrobras #'s are NOT even calculated into PDE's current valuation models. Irregardless of the Petrobras deal- this is standing out like a sore thumb. Per your recent info on Brazil, this is a hot market; they will not have ANY problem with the offering - witness TELEBRAS offering.... PDE's fundamentals at selling @ .72 x sales, .83 of book value, having moderate debt with strong cash flows and coming off 88 % increase in earnings with strong International diversity can not be ignored.

There comes a time when you must trust the numbers - that fundamentally an ''individual'' stock has fundamentally bottomed. I believe DRQ and PDE stand heads and shoulders above the others presently... I would agree that sector-wide; there is no present reason to be buying accross the board, but there are some individual stocks that stand out; OMNI on it's dip to $11 recently was a steal, DRQ & PDE presently. Bought a moderate position in DRQ today off it's selloff... I'm setting price targets and only buying these individual stocks if the price comes to me.

Good Luck all - there are some good buying opps here !

Anyone else buying - have lets have a top 3 BUY suggestion list...

I strongly suggest my SD friends look for safety in pure cash. This idiotic mantra about buy and hold for the long term that the establishment has pounded into our heads and that the general public holds dear is going to collapse...as have ALL Wall Street givens over time.

Again, the market technicals look horrible as do the fundamentals. Now add the political circus going on in Washington...

Then add Chinese currency devaluation...hasn't happened yet, but it will.

Rumor has it that there is a run on bear costumes for Halloween.
