Headline on the Business section of "The Australian" this morning (Saturday):

"Stock advice is duck for cover"

and that was before Friday on Wall Street...

Last night was a break with last October's pattern I'd been tracking. I'll be putting my chart and interpretation up on my website (http://cres.anu.edu.au/~dstern/home1.html#finance) later today.

Last night I got out of a long position in MSFT still ahead but gave up trying to short (downticks and my computer crashing) and went to bed (it was 1am in eastern Australia). Pity. Got slammed by the fall in PPOD anyway. Only US stocks I still have are Safeway, Personnel Group of America and Peapod.
