Yogi, thanks for the pointer, but I've tried this one, and the server always seems to be down. I am attaching a response I received from another group. You may find it interesting, I did.

I have been looking at Sony, but on the side lines. I like the business, and future, but I think the near term will be weak, so
I am holding out for the upper 70's. It is comming back down.
I don't understand what ever shot it up so quick.

Good Luck,
Ariel-

Tek's GrassValley products have traditionally dominated the broadcast switcher market. The competitive advantage has been branding. TEK's Profile video disk recorder has sold more than all of the competitors combined, and has become the standard. TEK's Lightworks editor dominates film post production in Hollywood, although AVID leads in editors across all markets. Broadcasting has not been big for either. Their competeting News systems share that market with several others.

Philips broadcast products, while technically competitive, are not a big part of their overall business. Leitch has made good growth and margins in the distribution "pieces" - or Glue as they call it - boxes to interface and tie all the big pieces together. Recent acquisitions of a chip company and a disk drive company will add to top line, but it may take awhile to get profitable/efficient/integrated. Sony has dominated parts of broadcasting for years, but has lost their share and lead in new VTR's and the new HD products. Panasonic has won most of that share, and is ahead in deliverable recording technology for DTV/HDTV. Not a big market now, but will be.
