Let's see if I've got this right. From 0 to 69% market share means that vicious dog-eat-dog competition is quite OK, but from 70% on up, the rules change. You can no longer innovate or integrate. You have to give all your competitors a piece of the action. You have to be a good little puppy, wag your tail and promise to be kinder and gentler or Uncle Sugar will spank you.

Yes, that's it. It actually says in the books "once you reach 70.000 market share you must stop competing and wag your tail."

Ok, back to reality:

James, there are probably hundreds if not thousands of monopolies in various markets within the United States. Somehow most of them are able to still do well without breaking the anti-trust laws. Pretty amazing, huh?
