My site and my daughter's site are at Geocities. It works, well. And is simple enough for a 11-year old to maintain a pleasant site. And all without manual intervention from Geocities. All its operations are automated, from sign-up to upload to control of the site and billing.

Geocities actually supports a "virtual URL," so that visitors to my domain name, dougsimpson.com, are automatically forwarded to my Geocities site in the "Wallstreet" neighborhood. This, plus more storage than I can use, and multiple directories, for $10/month.

I just found out that Geocities was going public. I have a geocities homepage and it is great! I am a fairly heavy internet user and I have never even heard of these other home page providers that you have mentioned. When I first heard about the IPO I was instantly interested. Does anyone know what the price will be for the IPO? Also, I heard that it goes public on August 11, is this correct? Thanks.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
