Do you not think that for SUNW to really expand their enterprise market, they must look at developing a relationship with Novell where NetWare 5 can run seamless on all SUNW boxes (Ultra's to the high end servers).

Novell recently named Bill Joy, Sun's Chief Scientist, to their Board of Directors. Eric Schmidt, of course, formerly Sun's CTO, is Novell's CEO. With Novell's great interest in Java and Sun's push to network everything I think you'll see increased synergy between the two companies.

Actually, a Unix box is easier to connect to a windows
network than a Novell server is... All you have to
do is run Samba and the Unix box can be a dropin
replacement for most of the NT servers out there.

It is my understanding that most NT servers (in the
workgroup market) are doing nothing more than file
and printer sharing.
